The Society of the Psilocrosse is an international social movement that began as a single secret society at Johns Hopkins University in the fall of 2006. Today the greater society is composed of unaffiliated local societies that are united in purpose, and in spirit, by the movement's prehistoric roots and by the symbolism of its emblem, the psilocrosse.
The psilocrosse simultaneously represents both a traditional lacrosse stick and a mushroom of the genus psilocybe. Further, the psilocrosse is made up of elements of the cross, the medicine wheel, the taijitu, and the swastika. These elements are representative of euro, amero, sino, and indo (easi) contributions respectively.
Though the Society of the Psilocrosse was formally established in 2006 it traces its roots back to 130,000 BCE when our Neanderthal ancestors not only mastered the rock and stick but undoubtedly consumed psychedelic mushrooms as well.
Similar to Rastafari and the Nation of Islam, the Society of the Psilocrosse advocates for and supports the Back-to-Africa movement. Always remember, "Go easi, take it easi, and everything will be easier and better."
